Mia Babb is an artist with an unlimited enthusiasm for trying different mediums but a particular fondness for pen & ink – loving the challenge of capturing detail but with a creative twist. Sometimes they are finished with watercolour or have foil applied. Ideas come from various sources including song lines, stories and myths but usually involve images of animals, birds or insects.
She has always loved painting but started drawing again recently to re-train her arm which had been temporarily paralysed by a stroke. Successful sales of watercolours and ink drawings at a local art show have given her the confidence to participate in other shows. She finds that inspiration and creativity can hit her anywhere – sometime at the most inconvenient times!
