Helen Hancock

Helen Hancock has always had a passion for arts, crafts and being creative. During a career break after her children were born, she began to make jewellery for friends and family. It started as a therapeutic hobby alongside being a busy mum, but Helen learned more and focused her skills. In no time, she was hooked!

Helen likes to work with Precious Metal Clay. This enables her to create small intricate designs which are then complemented with enamel, semi precious stones, beads and shells. Each piece is unique and carefully considered.

Her inspiration comes from a childhood in Cornwall and a love for travel. Living in rural Oxfordshire, Helen’s walks with the family provide her with endless sources of collections. She is also a keen photographer and gardener. All of which feeds into her design process.

Helen’s work will be displayed at Mary Brooks – 9 Butter Market, Thame from 15-19 October.
