As an artist, Damian Ward strives to create unique and imaginative art pieces every day.

Damian is a photographer specialising in landscapes and the natural world. Damian lives in Thame and has lived in the surrounding area his entire life.

Unlike many landscape photographers who gravitate towards dramatic and typical settings, Damian finds solace and inspiration in capturing the beauty of the woodland of the Chiltern Hills and other local scenes. He also prefers to focus on more intimate scenes rather than the grand vista.

While now predominantly making images in black and white, Damian also maintains an extensive archive of colour images. His images have graced the covers and interiors of local and national magazines, and in 2016, he had a book published by Kozu books showcasing his woodland work. Damian has recently further expanded his publishing venture by creating limited-edition handmade books that he sells through his website. Damian has also had his work featured in other notable publications, including the Landscape Photographer of the Year winners’ book for two consecutive years running.

In previous years Damian took part in many local art exhibitions including Bucks Art Weeks. After a few years break, Thame Art Crawl marks a return for him to showing his work in public.
