Sparksartists set up in 2002, a year after their first ‘Books2eat’ event in Thame. Their other project titles, ‘Timelines’ and ‘Women in a Box’ inspired Christine to create two ‘artists books’ that were chosen for the Treasures Gallery at the British Library. After a BA at Kingston on Thames College of Art she was awarded a year to study etching in Paris.
The works that are for sale here by Sparksartists can be purchased at the Books2eat tea party on Sunday. Two collagraphs by Christine, in temporary frames, are on sale with 100% going to Oxfam. Sparksartists will be donating 25% from sales to the Red Kite Family Centre at the Books2eat party at Thame Cricket club on 22nd October from 1 to 5pm.
