As an artist, Catherine Jones strives to create unique and imaginative art pieces every day.

Catherine Jones has been knitting since the age of 4 and gets easily bored by simple patterns. Taking Shetland heritage motifs she enjoys working out her own patterns for Shetland shawls which take, on average, about 3 months to make depending on the size and complexity. The great thing about knitting, she says, is that is is completely transportable so she can take it with her wherever she goes and can works in it anywhere.

Catherine’s work will be displayed at Thame Specialist Dry Cleaners – 5 Swan Walk, Thame OX9 3HN  from 11-19 October. Catherine’s work will also be displayed at Sally Evans Artists & Makers Fair, hosted in the Thame Town Hall Upper Chamber OX9 3DP  on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th October.
