Emma J. Williams

Working mainly in pencil, collage and oils, Emma J. Williams produces drawings and paintings that capture the landscapes she has visited or lived in. She takes imagery and inspiration from places visited, local landscapes, collected maps, trees, plants and walks. Her work layers location with geographical references and elements of local flora and fauna to capture differing perspectives of familiar views.

Emma exhibits regularly around Buckinghamshire including participating in Bucks Art Weeks where she opens her studio up to the public and she is also a member of the Bucks Art Society.

Recently she was chosen as the overall winner and winner of the wall art category at the Swire Ridgeway 2024 Arts Prize, Uffington, for her mixed media drawing ‘Passing Whitehorse Hill’ and her painting ‘Chalk Hills’ was exhibited at this year’s Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

Emma’s work will be displayed at Glynswood – 11 High Street, Thame from 15-19 October.
