Sarah Beak

Sarah Beak creates print and drawing, with recent forays into painting. Her work is quirky and concise – defined by expressive line, wry humour, warmth, and storytelling.

Sarah trained as a graphic designer in Sydney before moving to the UK. Her key influences are Toulouse Lautrec, Richard Serle, and Ukiyo-e prints.

Based in Buckinghamshire, she continues to develop her design and art practice. You might see her about town sketching or scrambling through the Chilterns Hills with her family. Her work has recently been shown at Fitch & Fellows in Thame, Bucks Museum, Stowe Gardens National Trust and the Longwick Art Show.

Recent feedback includes:
“I love this – great colours and I love the intensity of colour”
“Your drawings are full of energy! It’s an inspiration”.
“I so love your limited palette – that and your style make your work so recognisably you’.

Sarah’s work will be displayed at Pretty Like Pictures – Buttermarket, Thame from 15-19 October.
